Twelve Apostles

Like most Japanese tourists, I'm a sucker for stunning views, breathtaking landscapes and salmon sushi. So the Great Ocean Road was a delight. Especially The Twelve Apostles and the London Bridge made me wild. I felt like a tiny insect standing next to these giant rocks. Just amazing.

Beaching

Most people take a one or two day roadtrip to see the great ocean road. Because we are a bit different in an extremely funky but slow way, it took us ten days. Like two snails we carried our home on our back and stopped when we found a nice beach to go for a swim/shower. It might surprise you, but there are heaps of stunning beaches along the great ocean road. So I spent many hours jumping over waves and losing my bikini. Body boarding without a board and sinking. Laughing so hard I accidentally drank two litres of seawater. Sand in my pants. But still happy as a fish.

Living in a forest

Sometimes you will find yourself living in a tent in the middle of a forest and that's alright. You might want to spend all day (every day) in your comfy pants, boil rainwater to prepare food and dance to dub when it gets dark. You have to accept you are a hippie and you do smell like one. Whatever people say, it's okay to have koalas and snakes as your neighbours.

My problem is I didn't really care about the snakes and at one of the many unconcentrated moments while bushwalking, I nearly stepped on a very poisonous one. Raph yelled and I screamed and the snake just stared. I think there was a Joke-shaped whole in the sky after I took my highest jump ever. Quite a performance. You should have been there.
